Good morning, Illinois.
I’m headed down to Champaign this morning to roam my old stompin’ grounds. I’ll be on WDWS Radio from 10-11am (listen live here) probably fighting with a bunch of Trump supporters and I’ll be on the ground looking into what could be one of the top legislative races in the state this fall. We’ll plan to have more on that for subscribers tomorrow morning.
There’s nothing on Governor Pritzker’s public schedule today. The General Assembly is gone until the fall.
There are 140 days to the November 5 General Election, if you’re keeping track.

DOC BACKING OFF LOGAN PRISON CLOSURE?
Last week wasn’t a banner week for the Pritzker administration’s plan to close the Logan Correctional Center, a downstate women’s prison located near Lincoln, and move it to a newly constructed facility near Joliet.
