A new estimate shows Illinois dropped population in 2023. Republicans are going to pound it as a “massive out migration” while Democrats will call it an unreliable survey (even though it’s the same survey they used to draw legislative maps.) Prepare yourself for the shouting.
The House and Senate are in at noon. Governor Pritzker, U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine’s Economic Recovery Penny Pritzker, and Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal speak at 12:20 this afternoon downtown.

PRITZKER BEGINS PRISONER REVIEW BOARD CLEANUP
Governor JB Pritzker Monday began the process of picking up the pieces after two members of the state’s Prisoner Review Board resigned after a parolee killed an 11-year-old boy.
