Good morning, Illinois.
It sounds like we’re going to hear some news this morning about the pro-Hamas/anti-Israel protest encampments at some of the university campuses being raided and broken up by police. My guess is this is going to get messy.
The House is in at 11. The Senate is in at noon. Governor Pritzker helps open the new Ferrero factory in Bloomington at 10 and speaks at an EV showcase day at the Governor’s Mansion at 1.
Let’s get to it.
PRITZKER TAMPS DOWN SALES TAX ON SERVICES IDEA
Sometimes, at the end of a spring legislative session, the slightest comment can get entirely blown out of proportion.
That appears to be the case for Governor JB Pritzker after a statement last week that led some to believe he was somehow open to a new sales tax on services to help fund mass transit in Chicago.
