Hey Statehouse denizens, good news today as Elm City Roastery holds a grand opening for a new coffee station in the Capitol. It will be on the second floor in the south hallway which, if my memory serves me, should be right by 212. If you know my coffee addiction, you know I’ll be visiting a lot. Thanks to new Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias for making it happen, it’s been years in the making.

The Senate is in at 11 this morning. The House is in at noon. Governor Pritzker speaks at the Ag Legislative Day at the State Library at 9 and attends the Illinois Manufacturers’ Association “Makers Madness” event at 11.

Federal prosecutors released secret video recordings of Madigan associate Michael McClain and ComEd lobbyist John Hooker talking deals and contracts with then-ComEd executive Fidel Marquez.
