The House adjourned at 12:55am this morning and the Senate followed at 1:32am. The Senate passed a budget, which you’ll read about below, and the House is expected to follow (unless there’s a giant progressive mutiny) sometime after midnight Friday night/Saturday morning. This is the point in adjournment week you don’t know if it’s morning, noon, or night. Time is a flat circle.
The Senate is gone for good. The House comes in at 5pm and will be here until who knows when after midnight. There’s nothing on the Governor’s public schedule.

SENATE PASSES BUDGET, TEEING UP HOUSE FOR FINAL PASSAGE
Some 32 hours after Governor JB Pritzker, House Speaker Chris Welch, and Senate President Don Harmon held a self-congratulatory news conference announcing a deal on a new budget for the state fiscal year beginning July 1, the Senate finally passed a spending plan late last night, teeing up the House for final action early Saturday morning.
