Friday Afternoon Redistricting Update

So much for taking Friday off.

There was a status hearing this morning in U.S. District Court in Chicago (well, on the phone, but I assume someone was at Dirksen) on the ongoing lawsuit over state legislative maps.

Here are a few things of note:

• It appears Republicans, MALDEF, and the NAACP will not be asking the court to throw out the entire legislativ…
