BREAKING: Rep. Mark Batinick won't seek re-election
I'm told Rep. Mark Batinick (R-Plainfield) will announce on his radio show in Joliet this morning that he won't seek re-election next year.
He did not confirm the news when I reached him a few minutes ago, but word is getting around.
Batinick is one of the good guys in Springfield and has risen to the ranks of the GOP floor leader.
